Oh, Plouton, who holds all the clavicles of earth,
making mankind prosperous with yearly fruit.
You, the one who earned the all-reigning earth, the home of the immortals, solid pillar of the mortals.
You, the one who supported the throne under the bleak place,
distant, unfathomable, breathless, cold Hades and the black Acheron who holds the pedestals of earth.
You who rules over men thanks to death, oh, you who accepts many offerings, Ovules, you, the one who once kidnapped the daughter of Demeter the chaste, and led her through the sea on a vehicle with four steeds in the cave of Atthis in Eleusina, where the gates of Hades are.
Only you were born the praiser of deeds sung and unsung, godly, king of all, holy, honoured in gold, delighted by those who commit pure acts and pious worship.
It is you I call upon, come merciful and jovial to your worshippers.
«Ω εσύ που ναίεις στο υποχθόνιο δόμο, ομβριμόθυμε, στον βαθύσκιον και λιπαυγή Ταρτάριο λειμώνα, Ζεύς χθόνιε, σκηπτούχε, δέξου προθύμως τούτα τα ιερά, Πλούτωνα, που κατέχεις τα κλειδιά άπασης της γαίας, που πλουτοδωτείς στην βρότεια γενεά τους καρπούς των ενιαυτών, που έλαχες σε τρίτατη μοίρα την παμβασίλεια χθόνα, το έδρανο των αθανάτων, το κραταιό στήριγμα των θνητών. Αυτός που στήριξε θρόνο κάτω από ζοφοειδή και μακρυνό χώρο. Τον άκριτο κυανό Άδη και τον Αχέροντα, που έχει τα ριζώματα της γαίας. Εσύ που κρατείς χάρη θανάτου για τους θνητούς, ω πολυδέκτη Ευβουλέα, που κάποτε την παίδα της αγνοπόλου Δήμητρος νυμφεύσας αποσπόντας την από τον λειμώνα και δια του πόντου με άρμα τεσσάρων ίππων την οδήγησες υπο της Ατθίδος στο άντρο του δήμου της Ελευσίνος, εκεί που βρίσκονται οι πύλες εις Άδην. Μόνος έφυς βραβευτής αφανών έργων & φανερών, ένθεε, παντοκράτωρ, ιερότατε, αγλαότιμε, που χαίρεσαι με τους σεμνούς μυστιπόλους και τους όσιους σεβασμούς. Σε περιπτύσσομαι να έλθεις στους μύστες ελεήμων και γεμάτος χάρες.»
